Headspace Gawler is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to support young people aged 12‐25, delivering early intervention mental health care.

The opportunity
This role is part of our commitment to ensuring young people in the Gawler region have timely access to mental health support — without stigma, long waitlists or barriers.
You Will:
* Engage young people in a youth‐friendly, developmentally appropriate way
* Conduct comprehensive bio‐psycho‐social and risk assessments
* Provide evidence‐based psychological interventions
* Support young people experiencing distress, trauma, AOD concerns and complex life stressors
* Coordinate care and referrals to internal and external servicesDevelop care plans that are strengths‐based, practical and meaningful
* Contribute to individual and group‐based therapeutic programs
* Participate in care reviews and collaborative decision‐making
Desired Skills And Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing
* Registration (or working towards) with the relevant professional board
* Experience conducting mental health and suicide risk assessments
* Strong understanding of youth mental health, AOD use and trauma‐informed care
* Confidence delivering therapeutic interventions and treatment planning
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong stakeholder engagement and community collaboration skills
* Commitment to early intervention, recovery‐oriented and strengths‐based practice
Desirable (but Not Essential)
* Knowledge of local youth mental health services and networks
* Experience in trauma‐informed practice
