We are an independent, private surgical clinic providing services for the Colac region, Cobden, the Bellarine Peninsula, Geelong, Surf Coast, Lorne and Apollo Bay. We provide the highest standard of surgical care to our community. Our rooms in Colac are equipped to undertake small procedures while major procedures are performed at Colac Area Health hospital.
Role
We are looking for a motivated receptionist to join our friendly team on a full-time basis (Mon-Fri 8:45am - 5:30pm). There is flexibility to work a 9 day fortnight.
As a valued member of our practice, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional service to patients and support to our clinical staff in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
Qualifications & experience
* Previous admin/reception experience will be viewed favourably
* Excellent computer skills, attention to detail & the ability to problem solve required
* Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to work well both in a team environment and individually
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Australian work rights are required for this position
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism ensuring a seamless patient experience from start to finish.
* Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups efficiently.
* Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with exceptional service.
* Process patient registrations, new referrals, medical records, and billing transactions accurately.
* General administrative tasks: scanning documents, letters, mail, following-up reports and results.
* Coordinate with clinical staff and practice management to ensure smooth clinic operations.
* Maintain our reception and waiting room area to the highest standard.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
