Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst – Digital Transformation will play a key role in a major digital and operational transformation program aimed at improving coordination, data visibility, and performance across marine and landside operations within the port ecosystem. Reporting to the Program Manager Digital Transformation, this role sits at the intersection of operations, commercial, and technology teams. You will lead structured operational analysis to establish clear performance baselines, uncover inefficiencies, and identify opportunities to improve flow and coordination. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will translate complex operational challenges into practical, data‐driven transformation initiatives. This is an outcome driven position focused on delivering measurable operational improvements, redesigning workflows, and enabling more efficient, integrated ways of working across the port.
Key Responsibilities
* Support definition and documentation of program performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring alignment to operational workflows and system data;
* Map end to end operational processes across marine, yard, landside and documentation environments;
* Lead process mapping, standardisation, and redesign across key port workflows to improve flow, coordination, and efficiency;
* Translate operational processes into clear functional and business requirements for system design and vendor engagement;
* Extract, analyse and validate operational timestamp and transaction data from core systems, reconciling system data with actual operational behaviour;
* Identify duplication, manual intervention and coordination friction across internal and external stakeholders;
* Conduct structured stakeholder interviews and validation workshops across operations, commercial and technology teams.
About You
* Valid driver's licence;
* Tertiary qualification or relevant level of skill and knowledge gained through experience;
* Demonstrated experience conducting complex process and performance analysis in logistics, transport, infrastructure or industrial environments;
* Strong capability in operational data analysis, including interpretation of timestamp based workflows;
* Experience quantifying cycle time, variance and performance bottlenecks;
* Comfortable engaging frontline operational teams and senior leaders;
* Ability to reconcile system data with real world operational behaviour;
* Strong analytical writing and executive reporting capability;
* Exposure to port operations, terminal environments or supply chain coordination (desirable).
