Our client is an Australian-owned pet retail store focused on providing high-quality products and professional customer service. They prioritise animal welfare and a positive in-store experience. They are now seeking to hire a Shopify Coordinator to manage the accurate and timely upload of products into our e-commerce platform. This role is critical in ensuring product listings are consistent, well-presented, and aligned with brand standards.

Job/Role Responsibilities

Product Upload & Management

* Upload new products into Shopify using supplier-provided data
* Source product descriptions, specifications, and images when needed
* Write or refine product descriptions to align with brand tone
* Resize and format product images for website use
* Assign correct pricing, SKUs, barcodes, tags, and collections

Listing Accuracy & Optimisation

* Review all listings for accuracy before publishing
* Maintain consistency across product pages
* Apply SEO best practices (meta titles, descriptions, keywords)
* Manage product categories, filters, and navigation

Ongoing Maintenance

* Update existing listings (pricing, images, discontinued items)
* Ensure data consistency across systems (Shopify and POS if applicable)
* Liaise with suppliers to clarify missing or incorrect information
* High volume of accurate product uploads weekly
* Minimal errors in pricing, SKUs, and descriptions
* Fast turnaround from data receipt to product going live
* Consistent brand tone and formatting across listings
* SEO fields completed correctly
* Minimal rework required

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience with Shopify product uploads (required)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent written English skills
* Ability to follow brand guidelines
* Basic image editing skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently

Nice to Have

* Experience in e-commerce or retail
* Experience managing large product catalogues
* Basic understanding of SEO
