SYNOPSIS:
About the Role
Treasury is looking for a motivated and skilled Scrum Master to join its Data Standards Body (DSB) in the Service Delivery and Program Management Unit. The Scrum Master will support day-to-day agile delivery activities and help build delivery discipline, predictability and continuous improvement across the team. The role would be expected to:
* Facilitate agile ceremonies, manage sprint rhythms and ensure high-quality team practices.
* Support backlog refinement, task planning and daily coordination with cross-functional teams consisting of product owners, analysts, architects, engineers etc.
* Promote agile ways of working through coaching, mentoring and practical guidance.
* Identify impediments, risks and improvement opportunities to help the team deliver effectively.
* Work closely with the Agile Delivery Lead and the Director of Service Delivery to ensure alignment with broader program objectives and priorities.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
The candidate must:
* Have experience in agile delivery environments (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe), within a technology or digital service delivery environment.
* Demonstrate capability in facilitating delivery practices and maintaining delivery discipline.
* Have strong communication skills to support engagement across technical, policy and regulatory stakeholders.
* Demonstrate strong organisational and coordination skills, including managing process workflows, ceremonies and cross-functional dependencies.
* Show problem-solving capability, adaptability and practical judgement in balancing scope, delivery and operational constraints.
* Have the interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams with technical and non-technical members.
The candidate will be very well regarded if they can demonstrate:
* Relevant agile certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) and examples of applying frameworks in complex settings.
* Experience in agile coaching or continuous improvement initiatives.
* Experience within digital, regulatory or government delivery environments
