About the Opportunity
The Field Operations Coordinator will work within our School of Natural Sciences, primarily supporting field and laboratory operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team and contribute to high-quality teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of undergraduate field trips and laboratory classes.
* Maintain field stores and associated assets, ensuring equipment is well-organized, serviceable, and properly maintained.
* Assist in the coordination of laboratory operations, supporting the safe and efficient management of teaching and research laboratories.
* Contribute to fieldwork and laboratory safety management by assisting in the review of risk assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in fieldwork, project planning, and risk assessments.
* Strong hazard identification and risk mitigation skills, with demonstrated experience in Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) processes.
* Experience maintaining and coordinating a diverse range of assets, such as laboratory and/or field equipment.
* Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to use initiative, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate documentation and maintain detailed records, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
