Overview
Our Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Holmview and Flagstone centres are welcoming applications from cleaners to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team. This is a permanent part-time role offering 37.5 hours per week with fixed shifts.
Role details: Fixed shifts - Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm. These are core hours with no flexibility.
Responsibilities
* Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners).
* Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.
* Laundry washing and folding.
* Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.
* Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
* Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak-free.
* Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
* Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
* Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
* Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests.
About you / Qualifications
* Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting is highly regarded but not essential.
* Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
* Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
* Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
* Ability to work autonomously with a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
* A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
