We are looking for a Chief Research and Innovation Officer to strengthen and embed world-class research and innovation as a core function of Metro South Health to deliver better outcomes for our community!
Your New Role
The Chief Research and Innovation Officer provides executive leadership throughout Metro South Health (MSH) and the broader research community, strengthening and embedding world-class research and innovation as a core function of MSH, and delivering better outcomes for our community.
You will strategically lead the development of research partnerships that elevate our capability and capacity to undertake research and works collaboratively with the Executive team and research and innovation partners. You will optimise the translation of high-quality research into practice to improve healthcare access, experience and outcomes and evolves our models of care to illustrate and align to best practice.
About You
You will understand Metro South Health's values, have a genuine desire to join our team and contribute to our growth with your passion and expertise as a visionary leader at an executive level. You will have:
* Extensive experience in leading world class research in a complex, multi- faceted operational environment, including clinical trials and translational research leading to clinical practice change
* Extensive demonstrated awareness of Queensland, National and International health and medical research and competitive funding environment
* Extensive demonstrated skills and ability to strategically and conceptually plan, coordinate and deliver responsibilities associated with overseeing a health and medical research enterprise
* Proven experience in providing strategic policy advice with the ability to conduct detailed analysis, synthesise results and evaluate and interpret relevant findings
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to adopt appropriate strategies to gain support and influence others; communicate effectively in the public domain, with senior boards and external stakeholders
