Primary objective
Supervise and train personnel whilst streamlining inventory resources and processes, storage, distribution, stock handling, order picking,
order scanning, and stock reconciliation. Excellent service delivery of predominantly critical medical consumables, whilst providing support
to the Stock controller in a receiving capacity concentrating on data integrity.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Allocation and performance of tasks of Stores/Inventory Officers, to complete procedures and processes of the
Inventory and Distribution functions.
2. Review of Stock Requisitions prior to allocation, to identify and correct any ordering errors.
3. Assist with stocktakes as directed by senior staff, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with regulations.
4. Ensure stock lines are stored in accordance with current Australian and Therapeutic Goods Administration
Standards and Store Manager is abreast of any issues arising in the Inventory/Distribution process.
5. Provide input to the development and review of all policies, procedures, work instructions and other corporate
documentation in relation to the management of inventory and the catalogue framework.
6. Monitor and evaluate inventory activities and provide advice and recommendations, to improve effectiveness
and continuous improvement, to promote individual, team and departmental development.
7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work
being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
8. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Sound knowledge and experience in inventory management and cataloguing principles and practices.
2. Staff supervision experience including Workplace Health & safety, training, induction, and orientating staff.
3. Sound knowledge and experience of the Inventory/Distribution functions in a commercial environment,
including a demonstrated ability to abide by policies, practices and standards and operate computerised
Ordering/Inventory system and relevant MS Office software programs.
1. Working knowledge of continuous improvement and change management principles and practices.
2. Good knowledge of client service principals and experience in providing focused customer service delivery.
3. Unrestricted Forklift Licence, Medium Rigid Drivers Licence, or the ability to obtain.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Materials Handling, Inventory management or related business discipline
1. Experience working in a commercial/public Supply Chain environment.
