About the Client: Our client is a leading specialist in lightweight external wall solutions, façade systems, Hebel (AAC) cladding, rendering, painting, and architectural finishes across residential and multi-residential projects in New South Wales. They deliver comprehensive solutions, from design support, specification, and scheduling to supply and installation. Job Overview: The Cladding Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential and façade construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, façade materials, and project costing, with a focus on larger and more complex projects. This person will work closely with the Head Estimator in Sydney, collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and suppliers to develop comprehensive cost plans and support the tendering process. As a senior-level independent professional, you will operate with confidence and minimal supervision, contributing directly to the success of ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and façade construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads. * Focus on complex and large-scale façade projects (AAC, EPS, render, paint). * Provide maintenance estimating support using inspection photos and reports. * Develop and submit competitive tenders, ensuring compliance with all client requirements and specifications. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. * Review drawings, plans, and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions. * Work directly with the Head Estimator (Sydney) to review estimates, pricing strategies, and project documentation. * Monitor project budgets, prepare cost reports, and update project stakeholders as needed. * Identify potential risks and variances in cost estimates, proposing practical mitigation measures. * Ensure all estimates comply with building codes, regulations, and company standards. * Accurately measure and take off quantities using Bluebeam and other digital tools. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating templates, systems, and methodologies.
