About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, this role is critical in ensuring product quality and compliance. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, troubleshooting quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement across the production process.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced inspector ready to step into a more advanced technical role with clear career progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform advanced manual and machine-based inspections on components and assemblies
* Operate and assist with programming of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
* Operate Romer Arm and Polyworks for probing/scanning assemblies
* Identify non-conformances and communicate quality issues across departments
* Measure components pre/post processing and log results in Excel
* Compile customer-required quality documentation
* Train and mentor junior Quality Inspectors
* Maintain a clean, organised workspace using 5S principles
* Follow all WHS and safety procedures
About You
You are a detail-oriented and technically capable quality professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in quality inspection (manufacturing environment preferred)
* Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings & GD&T
* Experience using:
* CMM (operation/programming)
* Romer Arm
* Precision measuring tools
* Experience creating quality documentation and reports
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Experience training or mentoring others (highly regarded)
