System Administration Leadership Role
Senior system administrators are responsible for leading and managing systems administration activities in an integrated workforce. They will be able to contribute in a complex business environment, lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple systems, and use automation tools for development of system builds.
Key responsibilities include working with delivery teams to continuously improve processes and procedures, communicating with diverse stakeholder groups in technical and business process terms, providing guidance and uplift capability of other team members, and conducting other systems administration related tasks within the scope of the stated APS level.
Requirements include holding a degree in computer science or a related field, being proficient in operating systems, networking, database management, and security protocols, and having proficiency in technology applications such as Ansible, Linux, Splunk.
Essential skills and experience include system installation and removal, system software administration, infrastructure operations, and systems design at level 5. These roles require taking responsibility for installation and/or decommissioning projects, providing effective team leadership, developing and implementing quality plans and method statements, monitoring the effectiveness of installations, and ensuring appropriate recommendations for change are made.
Australian citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is required for this role.
