We're looking for a practical, reliable, and enthusiastic Junior Events Coordinator to support our team in delivering local markets and community events across the Sunshine Coast.
This role is primarily weekend-based event support, working on-site at our markets and events. There will be opportunities for additional hours during busy periods and school holidays, with the potential to grow into more responsibility, including office-based event support, as you develop in the role.
It's perfect for someone starting out in events who enjoys being hands-on, working in a team, and seeing a plan come to life.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting with event setup, pack down, and site operations
* Supporting stallholders, performers, suppliers, and clients on-site
* Helping with signage, site layouts, and equipment placement
* Assisting the senior team with general event coordination tasks
* Helping maintain site safety and smooth event flow
* Being a friendly, professional face for Sunshine Coast Music & Events
This is a hands-on role that involves outdoor work, early mornings / late nights, and physical setup tasks.
What We're Looking For
You're reliable, proactive, and happy to roll up your sleeves. You enjoy being part of a team, take direction well, and are keen to learn the ins and outs of event operations.
Must-Haves:
* Current Driver's License and reliable transport
* Friday & Weekend availability (including nights and early starts)
* Physically capable of assisting with setup and equipment
* Safety-conscious mindset
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Ability to work well in a team environment
Nice-to-Haves:
* Previous experience in events, hospitality, retail, or customer service
* First Aid Certificate / Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Interest in event management, logistics, or project coordination
* Currently studying (or planning to study) events, marketing, or a related field

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $17.54 – $37.46 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
