The Opportunity: Technical Delivery Manager
Driven by recent success and growth, we are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to join our high‑performing Digital Delivery Team. You may be based in our Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide office. Reporting to the General Manager, Digital Solutions, you will collaborate with clients, account managers, project leads and consultants to define business requirements, scope solutions and oversee successful implementation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with tender submissions and provide technical responses that demonstrate understanding of requirements and alignment with Woolpert’s capabilities and value proposition.
- Support the Business Development team with technical input during bid preparation (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) ensuring solutions meet all functional and non‑functional requirements, including financial metrics.
- Deploy, configure and support VertiGIS suite of products, ESRI suite of server & desktop products.
- Perform application testing, quality assurance on a project‑by‑project basis, server/network administration, troubleshooting and technical review.
- Collaborate with clients to explore business needs and propose solutions that demonstrate Woolpert’s thought leadership and leverage the full potential of GIS in their organization.
- Develop solution prototypes against industry or specific customer requirements and extend existing solutions to support current and emerging GIS patterns including 3D digital twins.
- Travel to client sites, conferences, seminars and trade shows as required to deliver projects and represent Woolpert in the marketplace.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (computer science, software engineering, mathematics, survey, GIS or geomatics).
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing and implementing enterprise IT‑GIS solutions/systems, preferably using ArcGIS and/or VertiGIS/Geocortex enterprise platforms.
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service‑oriented cloud computing architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Team leadership experience in a professional service’s technical delivery capacity.
Highly Regarded Certifications & Experience
- Solution Architect Certification for AWS or Azure.
- Experience delivering IT products and services.
- 5+ years working in a professional service consulting environment with external client interaction.
- Proven ability to diagnose business problems and design creative solutions in complex environments.
