Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Mining Engineer will lead the establishment and ongoing management of the E48 Sub-Level Cave. You will play a pivotal role in mine design, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting, while providing technical leadership to junior engineers within the team. Key responsibilities include: Delivering the establishment and scheduling of the E48 Sub-Level Cave Providing accurate engineering analysis, reporting, and forecasting Coordinating short- to medium-term mine planning, drill & blast activities, and tactical scheduling Leading and mentoring junior engineers to build team capability Collaborating across operations and planning teams to meet production and cost efficiency targets Ensuring health, safety, and setting standards are embedded across all activities About you
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Mining Engineering degree, along with proven experience in sub-level cave or block cave mining. You should have strong technical skills in mine planning, design software (e.g. Deswik), and scheduling, and bring a track record of delivering operational and planning success in metalliferous mining.
