We currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified Chef to join our Hospitality operations team. This role will provide relief cover across our Bethanie sites:
* Across the Perth Metro & south-west region, providing annual leave or sick leave coverage from Yanchep to Dalyellup
* A company vehicle will be provided
* We ask that you are flexible to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 6:00AM and 6:00PM - including public holidays
About the role
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the aged care sector. You will be responsible for maintaining the kitchen in an effective and efficient manner and providing nutritious meals for our residents.
* Manage the preparation and cooking of meals on site
* Produce well-presented nutritious meals using fresh ingredients where possible
* Ensure all dietary requirements for residents are met
* Direct and train staff on appropriate food presentation and preparation techniques
* Comply with our Food safety programme and procedures
* Maintain a safe working environment
* A can-do attitude and good problem-solving skills
About you
* Previous experience as a Chef / Cook catering for up to 30 – 160 people
* Minimum requirement of a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent
* Can do attitude and an ability to communicate at all levels of the business
* Ability to work autonomously and solve problems i.e. food shortages
* Current Drivers Licence
* Experience in ordering food supplies
* Excellent time management skills
