AIC Mines owns the Eloise Copper Operations located near Cloncurry, Queensland. Eloise is an established underground mine using conventional crush-grind-float processing to produce a high-grade copper-gold concentrate. We are currently expanding Eloise following the acquisition of the nearby Jericho deposit which has reached first ore in development and will move into production this year. We are actively advancing several other copper and gold exploration projects across Australia.
About the Role
As a Graduate Mine Geologist, you will support daily geology activities within an active underground mining operation. You will gain broad exposure to Mine Geology functions, including core logging, underground mapping, sampling, and grade control.
Working as part of a dynamic and supportive team, you will receive structured on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced Mine Geologists. You will also develop skills in widely used geological software, including Micromine, Datashed, and RockMapper.
This role provides strong foundations for a career in underground mining geology within a growing ASX-listed company, with opportunities for development and progression.
The position is offered on a 15/13 FIFO roster from Townsville. Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute via bus from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply. Accommodation is provided onsite at the Eloise Copper Mine.
About You
* A recent graduate (or up to 3 years’ experience) in Geology or Geoscience
* A genuine interest in underground mining and developing as a Mine Geologist
* A basic understanding of core logging, geological mapping, and sampling techniques
* Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging with operations
* A proactive, hands-on approach with problem-solving ability and the capacity to perform in a fast-paced, production environment
* A current manual driver’s licence (preferred)
* A demonstrated commitment to safety
