Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Level 2 Desktop Support Engineer to provide advanced onsite technical support across a large production facility comprising approximately 226 PCs across multiple buildings. This role acts as the primary ISIT representative onsite, ensuring reliable endpoint operations, effective issue resolution, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for supporting desktops, laptops, printers, network connectivity, device deployments, and incident resolution within SLA. This position is ideal for a highly capable support engineer with strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills, particularly within secure or regulated environments.
Responsibilities
* Provide Level 2 support for all endpoint technologies
* Support and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, and LAN connectivity
* Act as an escalation point for Level 1 support teams
* Perform device builds, imaging, deployments, and patching activities
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and network issues
* Maintain accurate incident and request management within agreed SLAs
* Operate as the onsite ISIT representative across multiple buildings
* Ensure compliance with all IT security, site standards, and safety requirements
* Deliver clear and professional communication with local and remote stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Level 2 Desktop Support role
* Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
* Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD
* Understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
* Experience in secure, regulated, or safety‐critical environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong troubleshooting, organisational, and customer‐service focus
* Support experience within industrial, manufacturing, or multi‐building sites
* Familiarity with SCCM, Intune, or endpoint management tools
* Experience coordinating with remote ISIT or infrastructure teams
* Knowledge of hardware lifecycle management and asset processes
