The Role
We’re now seeking a GIS Test Manager to lead quality assurance across our Smallworld GIS projects and ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.
This is a work from home-from-home opportunity with close collaboration across our teams in Australia and offshore. You can be based anywhere in Australia.
As GIS Test Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our geospatial platforms. You’ll be responsible for leading the testing function across multiple geospatial projects. You’ll work closely with delivery teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure robust testing coverage, smooth delivery, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and processes for Smallworld GIS projects.
- Lead a team of testers, providing guidance, mentoring, and quality oversight.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure requirements traceability and testing coverage.
- Define and manage test environments, test data, and automation frameworks.
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing activities.
- Identify, track, and report defects and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors, internal IT teams, and external partners to ensure smooth delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality frameworks, and security best practices.
About You
- Proven experience in QA/testing leadership, ideally within GIS or enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of Smallworld GIS or similar geospatial platforms.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Passion for quality, innovation, and delivering value.
