**The Role**
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Governance and Finance Support Officer is responsible for providing Secretariat services to the Schools USI Project Board and Schools USI Working Group forum. The role also provides support in the administration of internal processes including but not limited to procurement as well as financial and contract management.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 Governance and Finance Support Officer may include:
- Provide Secretariat support for relevant meetings, ensuring agenda and papers are distributed to members within timeframes.
- Provide Secretariat support through the taking of minutes and actions, managing registers and following up on outstanding items.
- Coordinate meetings, tracking responses and maintaining membership lists.
- Assisting with the management and maintenance of financial records.
- Assisting in financial reporting and analysis activities.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders and invoices for payments.
- Ensure knowledge or and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, guidelines and regulations.
- Propose and facilitate innovation initiatives and contribute to business improvement strategies.
- Provide support to team members and performing other ad hoc duties as required.
