Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated and engaged individual to support the effective delivery of teaching and learning programs within the Junior School (Prep to Year 6), in partnership with classroom teachers to address the individual needs of students.
The role is permanent part-time, 75 hours per fortnight, commencing in January ****.
The candidate must hold a Cert III in Education, Learning Support or Children's Services and have demonstrated experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.

Demonstrated patience, empathy, and encouragement in promoting student engagement, confidence and well-being.

Position Overview
The purpose of this role is to support the effective delivery of teaching and learning programs within the Junior School (Prep to Year 6).
Working under the direction of classroom teachers, the assistant helps implement educational activities, maintains a well-ordered learning environment, and supports the individual needs of students to promote engagement, growth and success.
Accountability & Reporting Lines
Reports directly to the Director of Learning and Teaching and ultimately to the Head of School and Principal.
Occupational Requirements & Qualifications
A Cert III or higher in Teaching, Educational Support or Children's Services.
Demonstrated experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
Current and valid Blue Card for working with children.
Experience working in an independent, Christian school environment is highly regarded.

Duties And Responsibilities
Classroom Support
Assist the classroom teacher with preparation, delivery and supervision of learning activities.
Support individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
Implement differentiated learning strategies under teacher guidance.
Help maintain a positive, orderly and safe classroom environment.
Prepare, organise and maintain classroom materials, equipment and displays.
Student Support
Provide encouragement and guidance to students in academic, social and behavioural development.
Support students with additional learning, behavioural or physical needs.
Observe and report student progress or concerns promptly.
Promote positive behaviour and respect in line with college expectations.
Work cooperatively with teachers, support staff and leadership to enhance learning outcomes.
Operational Support
Maintain clear, open and professional communication with teaching staff.
Assist with routine classroom administration, supervision of students during transitions, playground duty, excursions and special events.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding student information.
Professional Development
Participate in meetings, professional learning and collaborative planning sessions as required.
Contribute to the spiritual growth and fellowship of the Emmanuel community.
Commit to ongoing personal growth and professional development, including information technology.
Other Responsibilities
Model Christian faith, integrity and care in all interactions.
Attend Staff Devotions, Worship and Chapel Services, including Principal's Briefings.
Contribute to the spiritual and communal life of the College through service, encouragement and example.
Attend staff meetings, Parent/Teacher meetings and interviews.
Maintain confidentiality of school matters.
Adhere to the College's policies on Child Protection, Workplace Health & Safety and other procedures on the intranet.
Perform all reasonable duties as directed from time to time.
