We have an opportunity for a full-time Gardener/Maintenance Officer to join our SCCQ family at our Edens Landing Retirement Estate.

About the role
Working as part of our team, as a Gardener/Maintenance Officer, you will work closely with the Estate Manager to ensure the establishment and upkeep of the gardens and grounds within this Retirement Estate. You will be approachable, reliable and bring enthusiasm and a can‑do attitude to your work.
Key responsibilities
* Horticultural and grounds development, maintenance and monitoring.
* Garden beds re‑planting and maintenance to maximise seasonal conditions.
* Pruning of trees and shrubs.
* Lawn mowing, edging, fertilising and weeding.
* Clearing and removal of garden refuse.
* Paths, drains and edge repair and maintenance.
* Ensuring that fences and retaining walls are maintained in good repair.
* Undertaking routine repair work and maintenance within the site.
What we look for
* Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or related field (highly regarded)
* Previous experience and knowledge in general and commercial maintenance and gardening
* Knowledge of trade resources and suppliers of materials
* Current manual drivers licence
* Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
* Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate with various stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
