Our client is seeking a
Sustainability Officer
to lead the implementation and delivery of sustainability reporting, with a strong focus on AASB S2 climate-related disclosures.
You'll work at the intersection of financial reporting, sustainability, and audit, supporting external reporting requirements and internal month-end and year-end processes. The role also involves building sustainability capability across the business through training and stakeholder engagement.

The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a sustainability consultant ready to transition into an in-house corporate environment, or for someone eager to take ownership of the sustainability reporting process within a fast-growing global tech company that prioritises sustainability and innovation.
You'll take ownership of developing and delivering the organisation's sustainability reporting strategy, ensuring compliance with AASB S2 requirements and driving best practice across the business. This includes leading the preparation of disclosures, coordinating data collection, and embedding robust governance processes. It's an opportunity to set the standard and guide the organisation's approach to sustainability reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and coordinate sustainability disclosures in line with AASB S2.
* Develop and maintain sustainability reporting frameworks, policies, and controls.
* Coordinate data collection for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions across multiple teams.
* Support climate-related risk assessments and governance disclosures.
* Prepare sustainability content for annual and sustainability reports.
* Act as a key contact for auditors and advisors on sustainability assurance.
* Contribute to financial reporting activities during month-end and year-end cycles.
* Deliver training sessions on sustainability requirements and data accountability.
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or related discipline.
* Background in external audit, internal audit, or technical accounting.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting processes and audit requirements.
* Experience in AASB S2 (or IFRS S2) and sustainability reporting.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders.
* CA/CPA qualification and ESG reporting experience are highly regarded.
