About The Team And Role
The Faculty of Arts & Education is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching and learning, and fostering cutting‐edge research and discovery.
This Teaching Fellow position will lead and deliver the Faculty's FEE‐FREE Uni Ready program. The aim of this program is to support students to acquire the skills to succeed in their chosen course of study. The position will initiate and design a creative program of learning so all students can achieve the outcomes set out in Deakin's FEE FREE Uni Ready program.
As a Teaching Fellow, You Will
* Provide academic leadership for the Faculty's FEE‐FREE Uni Ready (FFUR) program, ensuring coherence, quality, and alignment across units, teaching teams, and intensive study periods.
* Monitor student engagement, success, retention, and progression outcomes using data and feedback to drive continuous curriculum and teaching improvement.
* Support student transition into undergraduate degrees through curriculum alignment, readiness for further study, and collaboration with destination faculties.
To Be Successful, You'll Have
* PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
* Teaching qualification at Bachelor or Masters level
* Teaching experience in the Secondary School sector
* Excellent record of teaching, including innovative curriculum design
* Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning
* Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement
* Demonstrated capacity to provide academic support and guidance to students, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning environment.
