Technical Sales Representative | Luxury Lighting | Melbourne
LightCo is Australia's leading distributor of high-end decorative interior and exterior lighting. We work closely with designers, architects, developers and private clients on premium residential and commercial projects across Australia.
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our Melbourne team. This role combines technical lighting expertise with relationship-based sales, supporting clients and projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Development & Sales
* Build and grow strong relationships with architects, designers, developers and trade clients
* Identify new business opportunities within the luxury lighting and design sector
* Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to project completion
Technical Advisory
* Provide expert technical advice on lighting products, applications, compliance and performance
* Review lighting plans and specifications and recommend appropriate solutions
* Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients
Project & Commercial Management
* Prepare detailed quotations and project proposals
* Negotiate pricing and commercial terms
* Process sales orders and ensure accurate documentation
After-Sales & Support
* Coordinate product deliveries and installation support
* Troubleshoot technical and service issues to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Reporting & Administration
* Maintain CRM records and sales activity updates
* Prepare sales reports, forecasts and expense tracking
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Business Representation
* Attend industry events, site meetings and showroom appointments
* Represent and promote LightCo's brands and technical capabilities
Skills & Experience
* Relevant Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year industry experience or a minimum of 5 years' experience in technical sales within lighting, electrical, architectural products or construction
* Strong technical knowledge with the ability to interpret lighting plans
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* High attention to detail in quoting, project coordination and client service
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
