About the Role:
As a Provisional Psychologist, you will be delivering high quality evidence-based clinical care as a member of our multidisciplinary team. Your primary focus will be on achieving better health outcomes for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers.
* You will conduct intake and assessments, including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and provide brief psychological intervention.
Requirements:
* Must have one of the following: Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker. This role would suit a graduate Social Worker wanting to build skills in the mental health field.
* Knowledge & understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
* Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
* Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
* Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC.
* Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
