The Strategic Finance at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
* Work closely with the Director of Strategic Finance and Management to provide financial management expertise, to support the successful delivery of complex, high-risk multi-disciplinary innovative projects.
* Develop in collaboration with stakeholders, strategic and operational outcomes by providing business-focused performance data and analysis to identify improvement and to implement change
* Monitor the overall financial position of the reporting entities within the MHHS and report on significant variances.
* Use high level of interpersonal, analytical and management skills and experience to navigate the financial project lifecycle, in accordance with accounting standards and financial management principles.
* Maintain a strong understanding of the analysis and synthesis of health-related data to inform and support decision making.
* Supporting the facilitation of the budget management process, forecasting, and funding assessments to effectively support compliance and performance.
About the Team
Finance Management consists of Financial Accounting, including Revenue, Assets and Strategic Finance. The team provides routine and ad-hoc information, analysis and advice for various stakeholders such as the Executive, Service Directors, Business Managers and Clinicians.
