MinStaff Survey has a requirement for a Cadet Mine Surveyor to join our team.
This is a full-time cadetship opportunity combining paid employment with structured study support in the field of Mine Surveying. You will gain practical experience at Underground and Open Pit Mine Sites whilst completing formal qualifications.
The role is ideal for an upcoming school leaver looking to build a skilled career in surveying.
This role will require the Cadet Mine Surveyor to travel away from home and work at remote mine sites for approximately 180 days per annum. The Cadet Mine Surveyor will work under the direct supervision of the Company's Senior Mine Surveyor and develop both practical survey skills in the field (data capture with Total Stations, GNSS, Laser Scanners & UAV's) and office environments.
The applicant will need to meet the following requirements to be considered for the position;
Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent with an ATAR of 65.60
A willingness to enroll in the tertiary studies to complete a Bachelor Degree in Surveying and study online.
Strong practical and problem solving skills and
Good communication and teamwork skills
An enthusiasm towards using and implementing recent tech
A manual drivers licence (provisional is acceptable)
