Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting customers with their meat selections and providing knowledgeable advice
* Cutting, slicing, and trimming meats according to customer specifications and quality standards
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
* Managing inventory, restocking shelves, and ensuring product freshness
* Handling cash transactions and operating the point-of-sale system
* Supporting the butchery team with various tasks as needed
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a butchery or retail environment preferred, but not required
* Handling of cash and the ability to manually calculate numbers
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
* Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
* Ability to work well in a team and independently
* Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays if required
