Pathology Specimen Collector Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pathology Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Pathology Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting biological specimens from patients in a safe and professional manner.
Job Requirements
* Collect blood, urine, and other biological specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.
* Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection is highly desirable.
* Prior experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors is preferred.
* The ability to work independently, sometimes in solo collection centres, is essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
* A First Aid Certificate is also desirable.
