Join Our Wellbeing Workforce
Become part of the dynamic and innovative wellbeing team in the South East region, providing support to young people enrolled at Kimberley Park State School. The successful candidate(s) will deliver quality school-based mental health care and intervention for students.
This position is a permanent part-time role, offering 36.25 hours per fortnight at 0.50 FTE.

About the Role

The Wellbeing Workforce in the South East Region is expanding, dedicated to supporting students from Prep to Year 12 with their mental health needs. Our goal is to connect, engage, and support students to maximize their educational outcomes. The social worker in this team will:
Undertake individual and group counselling with students, parents, and families to address personal or relationship concerns.
Provide professional social welfare assessments, interventions, and follow-up support to students, parents/carers, and individuals as needed.
Identify needs and participate in referrals and service planning with community agencies such as health and welfare services.
Develop and implement strategies to inform, support, and encourage participation by parents, carers, and the community in school activities and programs.
Serve as a contact point for parents, carers, and the community to address issues and foster better relationships between the school and community.
Participate in planning, developing, and delivering public presentations to educate parents and community groups on social issues affecting student learning.
Monitor, evaluate, and review the effectiveness of programs within the educational setting.
Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.
Maintain appropriate data collection, confidential record keeping, and reporting systems for students receiving social work services, in line with departmental policies.
Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team within the educational environment, supporting school, community, and inter-agency networks.
