The PositionWe are seeking a Consultant Urological Surgeon to join a well-established and expanding urology service on a fixed-term basis (3 years), commencing ASAP. You will be part of a collaborative team of four experienced urologists, supported by registrars (including a SET trainee) and a clinical nurse specialist.The role includes operating across main theatres and day procedure units, outpatient clinics, and participation in statewide urology services, including satellite work. There is a strong focus on teaching, supervision of junior medical staff, multidisciplinary collaboration, and involvement in quality improvement and research activities.Subspecialty interests are encouraged, with female urology and robotic experience highly regarded.Health ServiceThe service provides a comprehensive Level 6 Urology service to a population of approximately 300,000 across North and North-West Tasmania, including statewide subspecialist care. You will have access to modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment and work within a highly supportive, multidisciplinary environment.The LocationLocated in Launceston in the Tamar Valley, this is one of Australia’s most liveable regional cities. The area offers a strong lifestyle balance with access to world-class food and wine, national parks, mountain biking, and coastal attractions.
