In this Permanent Full-Time role, you will provide acute mental health assessment and intervention in the PAH Emergency Department, collaborating with an interprofessional team by:
Delivering mental health assessments, brief interventions, education and discharge planning.
Applying sound clinical judgement in complex and fast-paced situations.
Participating in clinical meetings and interprofessional collaboration to enhance outcomes.
Engaging with consumers, families, carers and other professionals to provide person-centred care.
Maintaining safe, ethical and compassionate practice aligned with quality standards.
Supporting student learning, and contributing to research, quality improvement and service development.
About you:
High-level clinical skills in mental health assessment, decision-making and safe intervention within an acute or emergency setting.
Strong teamwork abilities with excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate effectively across professions.
A commitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice and building clinical capability.
The ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skills) to support clinical education and training of students or less experienced staff.
An interest in contributing to service improvement, research and evaluation activities that support patient-centred care.
