We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic sales or recruitment specialist to join our Technical Services team as a Business Development Manager.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive Federal sector engagements both directly and through Industry primes and establish strategic partnerships. This role is focused on solution-based selling across ICT platforms, networks, cloud, architecture, and cyber security services, with offerings ranging from staff augmentation through to fully managed outcome-based services. You will support management in shaping our go-to-market strategy, open new revenue streams, and collaborate closely with other divisions within Informatech.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with key decision makers in Federal Government, Defence and Federal Government industry.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities aligned with Informatech's service offerings ranging from staff augmentation through to professional services.
- Expand Informatech's presence through partnerships with primes.
- Navigate complex procurement models, panels, and teaming arrangements.
- Manage key client accounts across the Federal Gov, Defence and commercial sectors.
- Qualify, shape, and convert leads into long-term engagements.
- Proposal development, pricing, and tender responses.
- Support candidate resourcing of roles and bids.
To be successful, you will have
- 5+ years of business development in Federal Government ICT services or recruitment.
- Experience working with or selling into government departments, Defence, panels, and public sector frameworks.
- Strong commercial awareness and networks across major Primes.
- Confidence in selling offerings, not just individuals.
- Be comfortable making calls to new/unknown customers as well as existing.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to set clear business development plans and drive them through to successful execution.
- Ideally experience in ICT Infrastructure, Architecture or Cyber Security sales/recruitment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
