**Your new role**
As an Absentee Call Taker, you will be an integral part of the internal services team. Working independently, you will be responding to any and all calls from absentee employers and volunteers, understanding their needs and determining the best course of action. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Quick call response and resolution to absentee employees and volunteers, assessing their needs, and determining the impact of their absence on overall operations.
- Acting with discretion and care when supporting distressed callers and determining the best course of action to ensure they are supported by management or relevant internal support avenues
- Completing all daily reporting by gathering information from these calls in accordance with established policy and procedure
- Immediately notifying relevant Management teams of any absences or welfare issues impacting staff currently on shift
- Data entry into relevant in-house systems, ensuring all call details are correct and up to date
- Ensuring a consistent and efficient approach to administrative processes
- Ensuring relevant handovers are completed by change of shift
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Current/previous experience working in a fast-paced call centre environment
- Previous administration experience in data entry and information management systems (highly desirable) OR tech savvy with the ability to learn and utilise new systems quickly and with ease
- High attention to detail, with the ability to record information quickly and accurately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate high ability to manage time effectively
- Have the ability to assess each call appropriately, practice discretion and care in providing advice
- Flexibility to to work rotating or fixed durations of shift including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
