An exciting ongoing opportunity has arisen for a Market Insights Lead to join the NSW Telco Authority, a rapidly growing part of Digital.NSW within the Department of Customer Service.
The role will also support other planning, design and development of organisational strategic options and stakeholder management, to help identify new growth opportunities to support the achievement of business objectives.

The role sits within the Innovation & Strategic Partnerships team in the Strategy & Innovation business unit of NSW Telco Authority.

**In this role you will**:
- Provide market knowledge of available and emerging telco trends and services that can deliver the fixed and mobile connectivity outcomes of the Whole of Government Connectivity Strategy.
- Research and identify appropriate solutions to solve for connectivity gaps, identified in cross cluster initiatives
- Manage the delivery of ad hoc qualitative and quantitative research and trends, to support and assess organisational priorities
- Design and establish approaches to investigate a range of new opportunities to address, emerging issues and trends, to deliver enhanced customer outcomes
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with telco industry organisations (e.g., operators, infrastructure, industry bodies, solution providers etc.)
- Growing the existing network model and processes to identify and manage ongoing connectivity related innovation challenges across NSW Government
- Manage the strategy development process, leveraging research and data analysis to identify impacts and strategic trends to develop and articulate strategy messages for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to evaluate and report on the implications of environmental and policy change, to inform and influence strategy outcomes.
- Act as a center of excellence for best practice, market insights and develop innovative approaches to support the wider Strategy and Product teams
- Prepare accurate and relevant strategic plans, briefings, option papers and reports for Executive to inform the executive decision making, strategic planning processes, and alignment of strategy to business requirements.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly working across government and industry.
- Experience working across multiple industries and keeping abreast of technology trends.
- An ability to research, analyse and develop clear, actionable insights to deliver concrete recommendations to improve customer outcomes.

- Robust analytical skills with the ability to present findings simply to stakeholders.
