Kanda delivers personalised support solutions that embrace the complexity of life. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct Care and Supervision: Provide individualised support to young people, promoting a safe and positive living environment.
* Care Planning: Develop and implement individualised care plans that cater to each young person's needs.
* Daily Activities: Assist with daily activities, support their understanding of self-care, education, and recreational activities.
* Relationship Building: Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
* Availability to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings, and sleepovers).
* A valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.
* An attained or working towards relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.).
* Experience working with young people/children.
* Experience working in other support work-related fields (disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare).
