If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working across Linux and Windows environments, and automating infrastructure, this role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing enterprise environment supporting critical platforms and services.
You’ll be part of a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing core systems that underpin major technology operations, while also contributing to automation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement across the environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role is hands-on and varied, giving you exposure to data centre operations, enterprise applications, and infrastructure automation.
Infrastructure & Systems
* Install, configure and maintain enterprise systems and applications
* Perform data centre hardware installation, rack & stack and maintenance
* Analyse software to ensure it meets operational and environment requirements
* Deploy and configure new platforms while ensuring strong documentation practices
* Continuously improve and enhance existing systems and services
Troubleshooting & Support
* Diagnose and resolve complex system issues following ITIL best practices
* Support and resolve escalated tickets from Level 1 and Level 2 teams
* Investigate incidents and raise tickets when required
* Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge base articles
Automation & Improvement
* Develop and enhance automation for existing systems and services
* Work closely with stakeholders and other IT teams to deliver improvements
* Support system upgrades, optimisation and performance improvements
Technology Environment
You’ll be working across a large and diverse enterprise stack, including:
Linux
* RHEL 8 / 9 administration
* SELinux, permissions and fapolicy
* Linux application installation and troubleshooting
Windows / Microsoft Stack
* Active Directory
* DNS, GPO, ADFS
* Microsoft troubleshooting
* Exchange and Skype on-prem architecture and configuration
* SQL architecture including cross-site clustered environments
Automation & Scripting
* PowerShell (essential)
* SQL
* JavaScript
* Bash
Enterprise Platforms & Tools
* Atlassian stack (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
* Bitbucket MeshNodes
* OpenSearch
* VMware vCenter / Aria / AVI
* Broadcom platforms
What You Bring
* Strong PowerShell scripting expertise (non-negotiable)
* Experience managing Linux and Wintel environments
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
* Understanding of ITSM, ITIL practices and change management processes
* Experience working in large enterprise or defence-related environments
* Ability to work collaboratively with multiple technical teams and stakeholders
