Responsibilities
Positioning Vehicles Efficiently – manoeuvre trucks into optimal positions for safe loading and unloading.
Handling Cargo Safely – load and unload vehicles using lifting and tipping devices, while ensuring stability.
Adhering to Safety Standards – follow strict safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transport.
Conducting Vehicle Inspections – perform regular quality checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
Managing Load Distribution – accurately estimate weights to comply with load limits and ensure safe weight distribution.
Securing Goods Properly – stow and cover cargo securely to prevent loss, damage, or shifting during transit.
Verifying Documentation – check loading documents, assess cargo condition, and obtain delivery certifications.
Qualifications & Experience
Valid Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR/MR/HC/MC as required)
At least 1-3 years of truck driving experience (preferred)
Knowledge of road transport laws and safety regulations
Ability to operate lifting and tipping devices
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Physically fit for manual handling tasks
Good communication and record-keeping skills
