Role Summary
Reddam House North Shore is a leading co‐educational, non‐denominational school in New South Wales. The school provides a dynamic and inclusive environment that nurtures the unique talents and passions of every student. This is a Term3 and 4 fixed‐term contract located at Reddam House North Shore School, teaching Year3. There may be opportunities to apply for other primary positions in2027.
Key Responsibilities
* Lesson Planning: Develop daily and long‐term lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
* Subject Instruction: Teach a broad range of subjects including English, maths, science, humanities, arts, health, and PE.
* Classroom Management: Organise and maintain an engaging, well‐resourced, and orderly classroom environment.
* Creative Learning: Use activities like art, games, music, and sports to enhance student engagement and development.
* Student Supervision: Ensure student safety and well‐being throughout the school day, including during breaks.
* Assessment & Reporting: Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide feedback to students, parents, and staff.
* Pastoral Care: Support students' emotional and social development and address arising concerns.
* School Participation: Attend meetings, assemblies, and professional development sessions; engage in school events.
* Parent Engagement: Communicate with parents during open days and parent evenings to discuss student progress.
* Additional Duties: May include Year Coordinator responsibilities and participation in excursions, camps, and extracurricular activities.

* Proven experience in teaching at the primary school level, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.
* Excellent classroom management skills, creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.
* Strong assessment and evaluation skills, accurately monitoring and reporting student progress.
* Experience organising and supervising school activities and events.
* Proficient in using educational technologies and creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications

* Provide lunch and playground cover and assist with pick‐up and drop‐off duties.
* Ongoing commitment to professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
* Willingness to attend school events outside regular hours as required (e.g., performances, parent‐teacher interviews).
