About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the daily activities of the drilling crew, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of HDD projects across metro and regional WA.
Reporting directly to Operations Supervisors and the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Operating HDD rigs such as Vermeer or Ditch Witch
* Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and service locators
* Completing daily paperwork including risk assessments, bore logs, and excavation permits
* Maintaining safety standards and managing site operations
* Conducting equipment maintenance and inspections
* Leading a team onsite, ensuring task delegation and best practices
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum 2 years\' experience operating HDD rigs and leading a crew
* Certificate III in Trenchless Technology, White Card, Pit & Pipe Certification (desirable)
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical plans
* Proficient with systems such as OneDrive or WorkBuddy (desirable)
* Excellent teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
