Build and maintain backend services and APIs for deploying and serving machine learning models in production Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability Design and implement data transformations and pipelines to support reporting, dashboarding, and decision-making Write clean, efficient SQL for analytics, dashboards, and ad hoc investigations Monitor and debug issues across systems, from data pipelines to model-serving infrastructure Continuously improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering and automation Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing ideas to simplify, scale, and improve our systems Explore how things work behind the scenes, proactively identifying and addressing inefficiencies or technical debt What we’re looking for Strong software engineering skills focused on maintainable and solid design Experience with deploying machine learning models into production environments Solid understanding of data workflows, including building and maintaining data pipelines and transformations Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries A naturally curious mindset — you enjoy digging into unfamiliar systems and figuring out how things work Growth-oriented and self-driven — you like learning new tools, technologies, and patterns Bonus: Familiarity with data warehousing, metrics layers, or observability tools Before we jump into the responsibilities of the role.
