**Bring stories to life as an Assistant Editor (Clerk Grade 5/6)**

Are you passionate about shaping powerful content that supports thousands of educators and students across NSW? Are you as comfortable editing a video as you are polishing a document? Do you believe in the value of public education and want your creativity to have an impact?

We are excited to announce openings for multiple Assistant Editor roles within the Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing (TLSW) division. We're looking for multitalented Assistant Editors who bring both visual design flair and editorial precision to the table.
- **Location**: Parramatta with access to flexible working arrangements available
- **Salary**: $97,027 to $107,059 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- **Ongoing and temporary opportunities.** Possibility for conversion to ongoing for temporary roles.

**About the role**

As Assistant Editor, you'll work on dynamic projects that span digital media, design, video, and editorial content. One day you might be editing graphics and animations for an online training module, the next you're ensuring that a document meets accessibility and branding requirements.

**Key knowledge and experience**:

- Proven experience in editing and formatting long and short-form content for both print and digital mediums, aligned with style guides and branding standards.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Essential requirements**
- Relevant qualifications in multimedia, digital design, or a related field, and/or relevant industry experience.
- Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

**About the Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing division**

The Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing (TLSW) division strives to improve educational and wellbeing outcomes for every young child and every student. The division includes 5 directorates providing support to schools:
**Curriculum**directorate leads coordination of special programs and leading the department's response to the NSW Curriculum Reform supporting curriculum implementation across P-12.
- **Inclusion & Wellbeing** directorate leads coordination of state-wide strategy, policies and programs to lift student participation, health and wellbeing, outcomes for students with disability, maximising access, inclusion and wellbeing of students in education from P-12.
- **Student Support and Specialist Programs**directorate provides state-wide student support services and specialist programs to support student engagement in Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs, child wellbeing and mental health, and assisted school travel.
- **Student Wellbeing Support**directorate provides state-wide direct support to schools to strengthen accessible and inclusive education practice to maximise wellbeing and learning for students in NSW public schools.
- **Teaching and Learning Support**directorate develops and delivers evidence-based professional learning, resources and advice that enables schools, teachers and the system to support all learners to effectively access the curriculum to fulfill their potential.
