Job Summary
Azure Data Engineer sought for a growing Australian technology company. The successful candidate will work closely with the CTO to design, develop, and maintain the data integration platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate across business functions to define, design, and deliver new features.
2. Contribute to the design and architecture of the overall data ecosystem.
3. Architect and implement a webhook-based notification system.
4. Develop and manage data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory and other orchestration tools.
5. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of data processing systems.
6. Build data pipelines deploying models, maintain the DevOps process.
7. Create data tools and scripts to support the Analytics function.
8. Participate in the design and ongoing management of company databases.
9. Oversee controls and data governance including security requirements.
About You
1. Proven Data Engineer with experience overseeing the entire data lifecycle.
2. Experience working with Microsoft tech stacks and hold Azure certifications.
3. Extensive experience with Microsoft products including Azure services (Event Hub, Data Factory, API Management).
4. Ability to program in C++, C#, Python, or R.
5. Skilled with database technologies (MS SQL, SQL, NoSQL, ORM frameworks, etc.).
6. Experience with containerization technologies ideally within a hybrid architecture.
7. Strong at building data pipelines and working with data tools to achieve outcomes.
8. Strong communicator who can build working relationships with peers and use data to deliver value to the business.
