Oil & Gas Industry | Brisbane | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
We're partnering with a leading Oil & Gas company to recruit an experienced Software Engineer for a 12-month casual contract based in Brisbane. This role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact digital and data initiatives within a global organisation.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications and data solutions used across the business. You'll work closely with global teams, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to modernisation efforts across cloud, data, and application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and optimise applications using C# and Python
* Design and execute MS SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions
* Build and deploy solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
* Manage code repositories and workflows using GitHub
* Collaborate effectively with global teams across multiple time zones
* Communicate technical concepts clearly to users with non-technical backgrounds
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with MS SQL databases and query optimisation
* Proficiency in C# and Python
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
* Knowledge of containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience with GitHub for source control and CI/CD
* Ability to work with and support non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working in a global team environment
