This is a senior on‐site engineering role responsible for end‐to‐end delivery of significant capital projects in a highly regulated, environmentally sensitive operating environment. You will lead multimillion‐dollar CapEx initiatives with minimal supervision, working closely with operations, engineering and external stakeholders.

Description
The Capital Project Engineer is accountable for managing a large capital initiatives. Responsibilities include:
* End‐to‐end delivery of capital projects from scope definition through to commissioning
* Management of CapEx budgets
* Delivery of projects across capital equipment upgrades, energy transformation, wastewater treatment and sustainability initiatives
* Stakeholder management across internal leadership, regulators, authorities and contractors
* Close collaboration with operations, maintenance and engineering teams
* Ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
* Providing occasional out‐of‐hours support for genuine emergencies only
Profile
A Successful Capital Project Engineer Should Have
* A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background (essential)
* Demonstrated experience delivering multimillion‐dollar CapEx programs (ideally $10-20M)
* FMCG experience strongly preferred (pharmaceuticals also considered)
* Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
* Exposure to sustainability, water treatment, environmental and energy transformation work is highly regarded
* Excellent stakeholder management
