Overview
Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational school with a current enrolment of approximately 1400 students, including 120 boarders (7-12), of whom approximately 25 are international students. The Year 7-12 campus is located in North Ward, with two Junior School campuses (Annandale and North Shore) offering Pre-Prep to Year 6. The school has a long-standing reputation as a leading academic institution in Northern Queensland and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.
Position
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Teacher for a full-time, permanent position at our North Ward campus. The start date is flexible; we will consider a start in 2026 or 2027. A relevant teaching qualification, QCT registration, and prior experience teaching Senior Accounting are mandatory.
Responsibilities
* Teach Senior Accounting to senior students in a dynamic, engaging manner.
* Develop, plan and deliver effective, high-quality learning experiences with a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
* Adapt teaching methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles and student needs.
* Maintain strong classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
* Contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School and participate in its aims and ethos.
Qualifications
* Relevant teaching qualification and QCT Registration.
* Proven experience teaching Senior Accounting.
