An established, highly respected financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Third-Party Governance Manager to take full ownership of third-party risk and governance across its Finance function. This is a senior, influential role suited to someone who understands how suppliers, risk, compliance and stakeholder accountability intersect in a regulated environment, and who can bring structure, clarity and commercial judgement without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
You'll be joining a high-performing, values-led organisation with a strong governance culture, government ownership and long-term investment horizons.
What's in it for you?
* $150k package incl. super + 10% STI (STI eligible after year one)
* Senior role with real ownership and visibility across Finance and Risk
* Exposure to enterprise-wide third-party governance and CPS 230 uplift
* Lead and influence a major GRC system rollout
* Hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
* Strong employee benefits including 26 weeks parental leave, additional annual leave, learning programs and a genuinely supportive culture
* Modern corporate office with outstanding facilities
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Procurement, this role sits within the Finance function and is responsible for embedding consistent, effective third-party governance across a decentralised operating model.
You will act as the centre of expertise for third-party risk, supplier governance and compliance, supporting third-party relationship owners to meet regulatory and internal obligations, particularly under APRA CPS 230.
Key responsibilities include:
* Owning and evolving third-party governance frameworks, standards and controls
* Overseeing supplier performance, risk and compliance reporting across Finance
* Supporting strategic supplier relationships, including preparation of QBR agendas, minutes and governance artefacts
* Leading procurement input into a third-party/GRC system implementation and enterprise rollout
* Designing and delivering training for third-party managers (including CPS 230 uplift)
* Implementing and operating compliance and assurance programs, including annual control testing and evidence collection
* Identifying gaps, risks and improvement opportunities and translating these into practical, commercial solutions
* Contributing to ESG-related supplier initiatives (Modern Slavery, sustainability, supplier diversity)
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role building frameworks, influencing behaviour, and ensuring "don't just tell us, show us" governance is embedded in day-to-day operations.
About you
You are a senior third-party, vendor or supplier governance professional with experience in financial services, government or other regulated environments. You understand how third-party risk works in practice, not just in theory and you're comfortable working across ambiguity, influence and complexity.
You'll bring:
* 4+ years' experience in third-party risk, supplier governance, vendor management or procurement advisory
* Strong exposure to regulated environments (financial services, funds management, government, insurance, banking or superannuation)
* Practical understanding of third-party risk, performance management and compliance controls
* Experience building and embedding frameworks, processes and reporting not just designing them
* Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and influencing without formal authority
* A commercial mindset, able to explain the why, not just the rules
* Comfort working with technology, data and GRC tools (implementation experience highly regarded)
Experience with APRA CPS 230, ESG integration, or GRC systems will be highly regarded, but the right mindset and transferable experience matter just as much.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a true ownership role within a sophisticated financial services environment where governance, risk and commercial outcomes genuinely matter.
