Offer description

At CSR, we're building a better future together. We are a team of 2,600 people across Australia and New Zealand, collaborating daily towards a shared purpose – building solutions for a better future. As a leading Australian manufacturing business, we are at the forefront of developing innovative, sustainable, and high‑performing building products and systems.

At CSR, we put people first. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, supportive, and inclusive working environment that enables everyone to feel valued, grow, and thrive. We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, experiences, abilities, and life stages, and we provide equal opportunity for all.

The opportunity

Step up and make your mark in safety leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their WHSE career who is ready to take the next step into a true business‑partnering role. You may currently be a WHSE advisor, coordinator, or graduate with a year or two of practical site‑based experience, ready to expand your influence and grow into a broader, more strategic role.

You will join a team committed to lifting safety culture across CSR's Exterior Systems division, supporting key manufacturing sites in NSW and occasionally QLD.

What You'll Be Doing

- Coach and support frontline leaders to embed safe work practices.
- Assist in risk reduction projects – including machinery safety, chain of responsibility, and respirable crystalline silica management.
- Conduct and support incident investigations and help implement preventative actions.
- Help roll out onboarding and training programs aimed at reducing new hire injuries.
- Support site teams to comply with CSR's WHSE Management System and legislative requirements.
- Build strong, trusting relationships across production, maintenance, and logistics teams.

About You

You’re curious, driven, and ready to grow. You want to move beyond the basics of compliance and learn how to partner with the business to influence real change.

Ideally, You'll Have

- 1–3 years of hands‑on WHSE experience in a manufacturing, construction, or heavy industrial workplace.
- A qualification in Work Health & Safety (Cert IV, Diploma or Degree).
- An understanding of key WHSE principles and the motivation to build deeper technical and leadership capability.
- Strong communication skills – you listen first and are confident engaging people at all levels.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.

What's In It For You

- Career growth in a dynamic and supportive team.
- Attractive salary and benefits, including access to exclusive discounts and offers and eligibility for an STI bonus scheme.
- A supportive and collaborative culture that fosters innovation and inclusion. You'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who are passionate about their work and committed to helping each other succeed.
- Care and wellbeing offer includes up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, 52 weeks of superannuation payment, and access to an employee assistance program.
- Rewarding career with on‑the‑job learning, development, and upskilling opportunities within and across our brands.
