About the Role

We are recruiting for experienced Health and Safety Professionals to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania.

This role is ideal for individuals who want to think outside the box, influence change through great ideas, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

* Report, investigate, and implement corrective and/or preventive actions resulting from hazard identification, near miss incidents, and work-related illness/injury.
* Collate, analyse, and interpret health and safety data across the project and report to the Project Manager.
* Promote and encourage a culture of working safely and set a positive example for all other personnel.
* Review site risk registers, with identified controls for each construction execution plan and support Risk Assessment Workshops as necessary.
* Continuously review on-site work practices, materials conditions, plant, and equipment and identify health and safety hazards.
* Liaise with and advise personnel regarding mitigation and management of risks and hazards.
* Provide advice and assistance to the Project Manager for the development, implementation, review, and revision of the Work Health & Safety Management Plan.
* Work to achieve project health and safety targets and build a strong health and safety culture.
* Plan and carry out H&S audits of subcontractors when required.
* Investigate and report on all work-related injuries/illnesses and near misses.

About Your Capability, Behaviours, and Experience:

* Complete our Health & Safety Systems Onboarding Program.
* Able to communicate clearly and concisely, preferably with training experience.
* Experience in investigating and reporting safety incidents.
* Working knowledge of risk assessment and audit procedures.
